The Sr. Manager Finance is responsible for leading the finance staff in providing financial business partnership to the US Testing, Biology, and operating units. This will include monthly reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, commission modeling, and other ad-hoc analysis. This position will also be responsible for the oversight of the company data warehouse and data reporting to the China corporate team.
This role is hybrid in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Requirements
- Provide business partner support for US Testing, Biology, and US operating units
- Communicate monthly financial variance analysis, KPI tracking, and cost saving progress against goals.
- Lead monthly/quarterly forecasting and long-range planning
- Partner with sales leadership to develop, maintain, and prepare commission calculations for US/EU sales
- Prepare financial information for COO’s executive presentations
- Manage, coach, and develop finance staff, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and workload prioritization
- Lead budgeting efforts with stakeholders and submissions to Corporate
- Analyze potential capital investment for ROI
- Assist in modeling US costs including benefit models, bonus analysis, salary rate modeling, etc.
- Oversight of company data warehouse and corporate reporting
- Responsible for data integrity of the financial Power BI data
- Interface with Corporate staff on data consistency & reporting tools
- Work with accounting team to implement master data
- Drive the finance department's adoption of AI tools and automation
- Participate with IT in deployment of AI initiatives
- Improve efficiency and quality of financial reporting
- Develop automated reporting and variance analysis
- Work with accounting team to implement master data
- Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required
- May be required to work Holidays and weekends
- Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals
- Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi AppTec Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Experience / Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, (or equivalent and experience); MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus
- 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring staff
- Experience in life sciences, CRO, pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- History of interfacing with Sr. Management and presenting financial results
- Great Plains, JDE, SAP S/4, or equivalent ERP system
- Experience with financial reporting tools, such as LucaNet, Qlikview, PowerBI, and AI exposure
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
- Expertly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Fluent Mandarin speaker is a plus
- Occasional travel may be required
