At WuXi AppTec our Talent Acquisition team creates and drives strategies to source, attract, engage, select and secure industry leading talent for our rapidly growing organization. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to collaborate with Hiring Managers across various groups to develop and lead role specific recruiting strategies in order to target and acquire strong talent into the organization. This position will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team, partner with Managers/Supervisors, and collaborate with Human Resources. This person will accomplish results through the execution and delivery of the end to end, full-cycle recruitment process for a wide range of roles within the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, Bioanalytical Sciences, Quality and other Research & Development focused functions.
Requirements
- Manage assigned requisitions throughout the full recruitment lifecycle, including requisition initiation, approval tracking, posting, sourcing, candidate movement, interview coordination, offer management, status updates, and requisition closure.
- Execute full-cycle recruitment activities for scientific, technical, operational, and business positions across assigned client groups.
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to develop recruiting strategies that attract and secure high-quality talent.
- Provide talent market intelligence and hiring strategy recommendations to support effective hiring decisions.
- Build and maintain robust candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs through proactive sourcing and networking.
- Evaluate candidate qualifications, competencies, and organizational fit through effective screening and selection processes.
- Manage candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle to ensure a positive and professional employer brand.
- Utilize recruiting metrics, market insights, and data analytics to drive hiring outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and recruitment procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with hiring managers, Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition colleagues to achieve organizational hiring goals.
- Lead or support Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives that enhance recruiting effectiveness, efficiency, and candidate quality.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Talent Acquisition
- Serve as a trusted talent acquisition consultant to hiring managers and business leaders.
- Develop role-specific sourcing and recruitment strategies for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
- Provide guidance regarding talent availability, market conditions, candidate expectations, and competitive hiring practices.
- Deliver talent market intelligence and hiring strategy recommendations to support workforce growth objectives.
Recruitment & Candidate Generation
- Source active and passive candidates utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search methodologies, networking, social media platforms, referrals, and industry events.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for key scientific, technical, and business functions.
- Leverage employer branding initiatives to attract diverse and highly qualified candidates.
- Identify innovative sourcing channels and recruiting approaches to improve hiring outcomes.
Selection & Hiring
- Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to establish recruitment strategies, candidate profiles, and hiring timelines.
- Screen, assess, and present qualified candidates to hiring teams.
- Facilitate interview processes and provide consultation regarding candidate assessment and selection.
- Manage offer development, negotiation, and closing activities to secure top talent.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Develop effective working relationships with executives, hiring managers, and Human Resources partners.
- Coach hiring managers on recruiting best practices, interview effectiveness, and candidate engagement strategies.
- Maintain regular communication regarding search progress, market feedback, and recruiting challenges.
- Drive timely hiring manager engagement and decision-making by proactively communicating search progress, coordinating feedback, identifying delays, and keeping searches on track.
Operational Excellence
- Own day-to-day ATS administration for assigned requisitions, including maintaining requisition status, updating candidate activity, advancing candidates through workflow stages, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers/leaders, ensuring timely communication, calendar coordination, and follow-up throughout the interview process.
- Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline health, and hiring outcomes.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance recruiter effectiveness and candidate experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
Leadership & Team Contribution
- Lead Talent Acquisition projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Share industry knowledge, sourcing strategies, and best practices with Talent Acquisition team members.
- Mentor and support less experienced recruiters and Talent Acquisition Partners when appropriate.
- Contribute to departmental objectives and broader Human Resources initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience / Education:
- 7+ years of progressive full-cycle Talent Acquisition experience, preferably within life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, CROs, or other highly technical environments.
- Demonstrated success recruiting scientific, technical, and business professionals across a variety of levels and functions.
- Experience partnering with hiring managers and business leaders to develop recruiting strategies and deliver talent acquisition solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Psychology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Proven experience sourcing and recruiting talent within the life sciences industry.
- Experience recruiting for scientific and research-focused positions strongly preferred.
- Strong expertise in active sourcing methodologies, including Boolean search techniques, LinkedIn Recruiter, social media platforms, networking, and talent mapping.
- Ability to provide talent market intelligence and hiring strategy recommendations to hiring managers and business leaders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain pipelines of passive and active candidates for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
- Strong consultative, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence hiring decisions through data, labor market insights, and recruiting expertise.
- Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM platforms, and recruiting analytics to drive hiring outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
