The HR intern provides administrative and operational support to the Swiss HR team, contributing to smooth and efficient day-to-day HR processes. This part-time role (50–80%) is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in HR administration, employee lifecycle processes, HR systems, and HR project support within an international environment.

 

The Working Student will report to the HR Specialist and collaborate closely with HR colleagues, employees, and site managers to support daily HR operations and contribute to a positive employee experience.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the maintenance and administration of HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and data quality
  • Assist in managing employee files and ensuring documentation is complete and aligned with internal policies and Swiss labor law requirements
  • Prepare, format and coordinate HR documents, employment letters, contracts and internal communications
  • Support the HR team by managing HR inboxes, responding to employee requests and escalating more complex topics when needed
  • Translate HR-related documents and communications between French and English
    Coordinate HR meetings, training sessions and other employee-related activities, including preparation of materials and meeting documentation
  • Support the collection and verification of working time records, absences and leave requests
  • Assist with payroll-related administrative processes and collaborate with HR systems and payroll partners
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and daily HR operation

Qualifications

Experience / Education

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in University or equivalent

 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
  • Proactive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
