WuXi TIDES, a leading Contract Research and Development Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO), is an integral part of the WuXi AppTec’s subsidiary WuXi STA. WuXi TIDES offers our worldwide partners efficient, flexible, and high-quality solutions for the drug development of oligonucleotides, peptides and related synthetic conjugates (“TIDES” drug). We greatly simplify the TIDES drug development by providing all discovery, CMC development and the entire manufacturing supply chain under one roof.
Job Summary: Responsible for managing projects within WuXi TIDES. Leads the orderly progression of projects from the proposal stage through project completion by interacting with the client, technical team and business development team. The incumbent will also participate in business development activities such as visiting existing or new clients and promoting WuXi TIDES’s services in conferences/trade shows.
Requirements
- Manage assigned Project team members, set expectation, provide direction, guidance, and feedback.
- Prepare Quotations/Proposals with inputs from key stakeholders.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of project. Establishes project objectives, timelines and deliverables. Defines project tasks and resource requirements.
- Closely monitor/control project progression to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget. Reports project progress to all key stakeholders.
- Support technical team to investigate potentially serious situations and implements corrective measures.
- Serves as liaison with client contacts, manages day-to-day communications.
- Represents company in project meetings, prepares meeting agenda and minutes, and follow through action items.
- Evaluates and assesses project results, provides recommendations for future improvements.
- Collaborate with and provides support to business development team to attend customer visits, conferences or tradeshows.
Qualifications
Experience / Education:
- Masters (MS) or PhD in Organic Chemistry
- A minimum of 10 years pharmaceutical or CRO/CMO industry experience preferably in process R&D, API development and manufacturing area.
- Prior experience in project management or managing external research collaborations.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Technical Skills / Knowledge:
- Strong and effective project management, problem solving and interpersonal skills and have a proven track record working cross-functionally across a wide variety of technical, business and operational areas.
- Demonstrates good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and small molecule drug development process
- Experience in Contract Research Organization (CRO) or Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) is preferred, but not required.

- Demonstrates the ability to a self-starter
- Functions in a self-motivated and highly flexible manner
- Able to work independently
- Must be organized and detailed-oriented
Problem Solving:
- Possesses proven experience in creating or capitalizing on opportunities leading to successful outcomes, ideally with Project Management relevance
- Understands and is able to work on complex issues where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Collaboration and Communication Skills:
- Coordinates with other PM, BD, and scientific counterparts to provide appropriate solutions to clients.
- Ensure coordination of efforts and ensure good communication with all parties.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required.
- Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills).
- Ability to use all Microsoft Office products
Location:
Remote within the U.S. with international travel of up to 35%, primarily to China. During the first year, international travel may increase to up to 50% to support onboarding, knowledge transfer, and training.
